6x+12

This is an equivalent expression as all I did was simplify the expression using the distributive property. (6(x)) + (6(2)) = (6x) + (12) = 6x + 12

shown in reverse to prove this is equivalent would look like this. 6x+12 = (6(x)) + (6(2)) = 6(x+2)
