Yes, learning itself will always have a positive effect on a person's life. Even if that learning comes out of bad experiences, you are left with a better understanding of the situation and improved problem-solving skills. The only way we advance in life is through learning. Think, have you actually ever wished you HADN'T learned something? No. This is because learning has made you a better person, with better reasoning and foresight for similar situations.
