The formula for finding area of a trapezoid is:

[tex] \frac{a+b}{2} h [/tex]

Substitute all the variables:

[tex] \frac{5.9+16.3}{2} \times 4.6 \rightarrow \frac{22.2}{2} \times 4.6 \\ 22.2 \div 2 = 11.1 [/tex]

Now multiply

[tex] 11.1 \times 4.6 = 51.06 [/tex]

Your answer is the 1st choice
