Transitional expressions are transitions that help transfer from paragraph to paragraph, connect ideas, and much more. For example, the transition words of addition, to contrast, and much more help transfer from idea to idea. Another example: The man ate his food. However, he didn't like it. The word, "However," is transitional because it connects the ideas of the man eating his food and his rating of the food.
