Imagine we have the improper fraction (15/7).
We need to convert it into a mixed number so, how many times can 7 be multiplied to fit into the number 15?
7, 14.
7 goes into 15 twice.
We have a remainder of 1 since 15-14=1.
7 is the denominator of our improper number so it will also be the denominator of the mixed number.
Our answer is: 2[tex] \frac{1}{7} [/tex]

Hope this helps! (:
