1 mile = 1760 yd

To get the answer you would turn 1/4 (a fraction) into a decimal. It would look like this: 1/4 of a mile= 0.25
then you multiply 1/4 and 1760 so that you could figure out how many yards is in 1/4 of a yard.
1/4 x 1760 = 440 yards
So after doing the work you'll see that in 1/4 of a mile, there are 440 yards.
