the two points are,

A(2,8)

B (6,-4)

the equation of the line in the slope intercept form is,

[tex]y-8=\frac{-4-8}{6-2}(x-2)[/tex][tex]\begin{gathered} y-8=\frac{-12}{4}(x-2) \\ y-8=-3x+6 \\ y=-3x+14 \end{gathered}[/tex]

thus, the equation of the line is

y = -3x + 14
