y=2x     and y = x² - 3. To find the intersections of these 2 functions we proceed as follows:

2x= x²-3 → x² - 2x -3 =0

The zeros of this trinomial are x = 3 and x =-1

Now to find y-coordinates replace in any of the initial equation x by both values:
y = 2x . For x = 3 , y = 6
and for a = -1, y = -2
