Born in 1936, Ian MacDougall Hacking, is a Canadian scholar mastering in the theory of science. All through his philosophical career, he has won various honors. After 1990, Hacking moved his concentration to some degree from the natural sciences to the human sciences, mostly affected by the work by Michel Foucault.
